About Flat Rock Trail Park
Located on the east end of Johnson Road, Flat Rock Trail will is in the process of undergoing a positive transformation. Flat Rock Trail Park was obtained by the Park Board from the Paulding County Commissioners on July 26, 2021. Then in November a lease for the adjoining parking lot was signed with the Village of Paulding. Thus far, new fencing has been installed around the parking lot and the parking area has been improved. Establishing primitive camp sites has been accomplished. Fire rings have been installed.
While public access and hiking are available there is still work to be done before the park is ready for overnight camping. As funding allows, campsite improvments and an outer loop returing to the trail will be added.
