Volunteer with the Paulding County Park District

Research shows that a healthy park system improves the economy, individual health and wellbeing, and also improves the environment. All of these improve our community. Join us and be a part of something positive!

“We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.”

– Winston Churchill

Join our team of volunteers and make a positive impact in the Community!

Perhaps you belong to a group that wants to work on a project and have a workday in one of the parks? You might remove invasive plants, adopt a trail, help with maintenance, construction, or help with community outreach!

We can offer a variety of projects that will have a positive impact on the environment and your community. If you have time and a talent to share, we’d love to have you be a part of the crew!

Volunteer Opportunities

Adopt a Park

Do you have a favorite park? Adopt the one that has a soft spot in your heart. You’ll be the eyes and ears for your assigned park. Adopt-a-park volunteers are active March – November, and in charge of collecting litter, reporting damage, and assessing park needs, etc..

We need your good judgement so that we can continue to keep our parks safe, green and clean!

Community Engagement

Do you like to write and have interest in creating a quarterly digital newsletter to spread the good word about Paulding County Parks and the work taking place within them?

We’d love to have someone to help with this outreach!

Construction & Maintenance

If you know which is the business-end of a hammer and enjoy building projects, mowing, and working outside on your schedule, this is the job for you.

You could be the go-to person for any number of special projects or bring some ideas of your own!

Cleanup Days

Several times a year the Park Board promotes park clean up days where the community is encouraged to come out and visit a park, spend some time working on projects lined up for that park and overall improving the park facility.

Park Board Member

Periodically, there is a vacancy on the Paulding County Park District Board. The Board is the leadership for the Park District, guiding the projects, spending, and expansion of the park system.

Every visit to a park brings new things to see and discover! Its proven that time spent outside sparks creativity, reduces stress, increases physical and mental wellness and contributes to the livability of a community.

Visit a park today and see for yourself!

Go outside and play!
